Had a quick go on this last night and was quite impressed.

I have no idea what the story line is but the game play is good

I like the concept of blade and gun i only did the first level but liked it definately a good find from the Hoover

There really isn't one. It's extremely lacking in story - but then, it's all the better for it I think. Basically, you are a space ninja awakened from cyrosleep that must kill kill kill. Bam bam, slash slash. It's just a hop-in-and-shoot-stuff-until-your-eyes-bleed type of game.

What Warframe did you guys choose out of curiosity?

Storyline to Warframe:

A long time ago in the exact solar system you are in now there were these sort human shaped people that like to dress in non-coherent white suites and eat bagels.

After a while they got a bit pissed off with getting cream cheese, marmite and jam on their nice white suites so decide to hang themselves from the roof of various buildings.

Whist they were having a well-earned rest, the hunchbacked pigeon feet people of bagel-less 9 decided to pillage the bagel mines that the other lot were protecting.

As the white folk were all sleeping on the roof, the hunchbacked pigeon feet people took over and started selling Faulty Tower memorabilia from the sol system.

Whitey didn’t take kindly to this and dropped down from the roof where some bird missing the top of her head kept telling him to reload. Even though whitey reloaded about 18.0 million times the silly bitch would not let him out of the room so he had to restart his game.

I think the rather concise text at the start when you pick the character was somewhat misleading. What is the difference between them in basic terms?

Little tip for you 2.0: Ensure you put any mods (for weapons or frames) in the corresponding "Polarized" mod slot if you can - this will half the cost of the mod to equip. That is something I found out after about 5.0 hours gameplay.

Granted you don't start with many mods or slots, but worth mentioning.

Hi all, I was wondering if someone could shed some light on something that I cannot seem to get a definitive answer for:

I currently have a level 23ish Loki, with roughly level 20 weapons, all modded etc. I recently invited a few mates to start playing - so they are all level 1. How does the game cope with a high-level character playing with low level ones? As far as I can tell the only way for me to start from scratch as such, is to get a new Warframe? But that would mean endless grinding or a purchase with platinum.

So, what's the best way to deal with this? And can a high-level character play with low level ones?

I'm sure you noticed when u played with your friends that you can play with low level characters with your fully maxed out warframe.

The only downside is that the enemies don't give you that much of a problem, do they. And of course, if you bring those low level characters into a high level planet map, well, be prepared to start reviving.

I haven't yet tried it, I will be tonight - that is why I am asking. I was hoping I was missing something and there was a way I could start a different character from scratch to play with them, but I take it you cannot?

Being used to something like Borderlands, where you can just start a brand new character from scratch, I was unsure how this game dealt with this issue.

You'd have to make a whole new account or reset your current one.

Warframes should be thought of as just an equipment. You could just not equip mods, or limit it to whatever they can. None of your weapons/mods are tied to any particular Warframe.

Ultimately it won't matter. IMHO. If I have better shields, I'll just be able to tank some hits and cover for my newbie friends, and if I have more powers I'll simply not use them.

Be warned that Captain Vor's (Tolstoj boss) level scales with the whole party's equipment. Someone with fully-maxed equipments running with three new players can skew the difficulty by some.

Indeed. My Loki is kicking ass at the moment. The only other way is for me to buy a new Warframe for tonight - but that would mean real money is getting involved. That is something I wanted to avoid at all costs.

Found out that you can actually fuse mods together with other mods (not just Fusion Core's) - which is nice! My collection of mods is getting out of control with duplicates, triplicates, etc. - so this will help you get rid of the ones you do not want and benefit in the process!

P.S. The Dual Heat Swords are frelling brilliant (finished crafting them the other day)! They look to be similar to your Fangs, Greg (as we said on Friday). I will enjoy levelling them up.

The Fangs were the nuts. I might give those flame swords a go, but I can’t be assed to get them through hard graft so I will cheat.
