I saw on Steam's news page about this yesterday, so decided to give it a go. Basically, it allows you to Stream a game playing on one machine to another - with full control and everything. I Streamed from my main gaming machine in the man-cave to a shitty laptop connected to my TV - and my god it works beautifully.

Check it out here. All you need to do is log in to the same account twice on your LAN and the stream options appear - it literally could not be simpler. There was absolutely no lag - it ran smooth as butter for me (but then I have made some big improvements to my routers and cabling. It would probably not fair so well over wi-fi, but that's not to say it will not work.

Square enough, although you do have a LAN - everyone with a router does.
