This looks really good. Kinda like Empyrion but with much more of an actual "game" there - like Freelancer. Space battles, enemy AI, co-op, massive galaxy to explore, mining, trading etc... Check it out.

Enjoyed our brief time with it on Friday and look forward to getting deeper into it. What's everyone else's thoughts?

I thought it was quite good. I think we need to get everyone up to the same standard, pool our resources until everyone is happy with there ships. We have a wide spread of capability at the moment and getting everyone on an equal footing will allow us to progress with the game more equally.

Sounds good to me, think we did try and do that, but what with pirate attacks and Meg's lengthy moose sessions, we didn't have an easy time of it.

I was thinking we could build a really simple fast ship comprising some storage and some engines to do some of the delivery missions. We could make enough money to kit everyone out to the sort of spec your ship is at jeg.

From what i remember it is quite good but i did sort of get a bit lost.

I built a ship only for it to be blown up by pirates, loaded the saved design only to find half the ship missing auto save let me down there!  Traveled half way across the map following you lot only to get blown up again.

Re spawned my design again and finished it off only to have made it really slow and unresponsive!  

So started from scratch but then we finished leaving my ship consisting of a few blocks floating in a desolate system!

I think i need to get on before the weekend and build myself a ship

Don't really see the need to build a ship specifically for that when you can use what you already have, but if you want to - go for it.

I am quite amazed at how well that ship held up considering it took about 5 minutes and literally no forward planning at all to make.

Lolz. From what I saw you went a bit overboard with iron hull/armour. I had some thin plating on the shell of my ship but all the interior was stuff like crew quarters, cargo and all the other gubbins.

Just had a thought regarding the coop missions. It doesn't really matter that we can't all accept the mission. As long as the reward is money or resources we can just split it amongst whoever is helping. Like someone flying escort or whatever.

Jeg regarding the point about the haulage ship. That was really in anticipation of down the line when trading items between stations. I think stuff has an associated volume so I assume at some point we will need a hauler.

Yeah, fair point. Guess for really big dollar we would need a ship with a lot of cargo for hauls.

As far as money and resource sharing goes - I was under the impression we would be sharing out stuff as required anyway, kinda went without saying. Regardless, yes, there is indeed that.

It was a bit of a crapper that they are not shared, because it would make things easier. Not a biggie, just expected if you were in a group that the missions would be shared is all.

I suppose on the flip-side we could each take on a mission and work together to do them all in one hit. Could save on time for travelling and stuff.

I will try and build a ship before Friday so i don't spend all night trying to build something!

However i am not sure what is happening Friday as my Mum is up for a week over the Easter weekend so might not be on
