With the introduction of certain new 'rules' in 4.86 - I have made some alterations to the default 4.86 rules (as they were too restrictive). These may or may not be temporary, depending on how things go... but at least it will ease the switch-over for those that have already got fully decked out ships from 4.85.

Anyway - the first rule that has been altered is the new 'tech restriction' rule, that reduces your powerplant if you have 'unmatched tech' or unsuitable id's. This has been removed because this server is a lot more relaxed and does not force you into buying id's for ships, which could consequently ruin your rep.

If any further changes to rules are made, I will post info. on them here.

I have altered (and will continue too until I think it's more nicely balanced for the casual player) the fuel used when cloaking, jumping and the fuel used for bases.

When I have tweaked it to how we like it I will post more detail.

For now, know that cloaking and jumping now only uses 1 fuel per second. Some of the warmup and cooldown times have also been shortened.

We will have to see how it works tomorrow night but i was thinking maybe 20 seconds for the cloak may be a bit long.

It will seem a long time if you are getting hammered by enemy battleships thats for sure!

It is a long time, but its a lot less than the original. Here is what it was:

Small ships (fighters): 3 sec delay
Medium ships (gunboats, transports): 20 sec delay
Large ships (battleships etc.): 60 sec delay

...and I currently have it set to:

Small ships (fighters): 3 sec delay
Medium ships (gunboats, transports): 10 sec delay
Large ships (battleships etc.): 20 sec delay

...so we will have a play about and see...
