Inferno Gear Suggestions

I have attempted to gather some information together from the Diablo 3 forums to see what the basic requirements are for any Inferno Barbarian. Below are my current findings:

> 30% Critical Hit Chance
> 100% Critical Hit Damage
> 400 All Resistance
> 700 Life on Hit (with ideally > 2.9 Life Steal too)
> 1000 Strength
> 900 Vitality

Aim for life of at least 40k

If you find out any more info, or info on other classes then please post!

Basically, I think where we are lacking is the Critical Chance / Damage side of things, along with a little more resistance.

From what I can tell, my Strength stat (+1584) and Vitality stat (+1157) are great. Better than great apparently. My LOH (+737) and Life Steal (+2.9%) are bang on; but my All Resistance (+188) is too low (lacking about another 200+) and my Critical stuff is non-existant.

So basically, at the sacrifice (if necessary) of Vitality and Strength (in that order), I need to boost my Critical Hit Chance, Critical Hit Damage and All Resistance stats.

Hope this helps - maybe after some farming we will find (or buy) some better items to sort it out :-)

Yea i am going to get my DH to 60 then do a lot farming until I have some money before I start to worry about gear maybe I will have some money together by lan night and I can go shopping before we start.

I am also thinking about making my DH my farming character as I think it will be quicker than the Barb dunno what do you think?

By the sounds of it, DH and Barb are the current best farmers (purely for the speed at which they can plow through easier acts). I tried out a different build last night that was apparently optimised for Barb farming and it did quite well.

I think the main issue with this build is that it is highly dependant on a decent Crit Chance to work effectively and so I actually ended up dying on Act 1, which did not happen with my Rendy build. However, when it worked, it worked very well.

I am sure you can scour the forums for a similar DH farming build.

As for equipment, I am collecting some half decent gear together doing my runs and will not be spending any money just yet. I will either wait until the new patch comes out or until you come over before I go spending - and stick to farming for now. I have got just over 3.5m now :-)

How you getting on with your DH?

Yea getting on ok with my DH i am half a block off lvl 58 and cleared the castle last night on to the battle fields for me tonight.

Still not finding it much trouble and am only dying occasionally i have nearly 400K so i already have enough to kit him out a bit when i hit lvl 60 at least get a couple of bits.

Will have to look at what gear to get for him when i hit 60 :)

FYI: apparently the absolute minimum that gold goes for on the RMAH is £2.50 per 1 million. That is apparently a coded mimimum by Blizzard to prevent gold becoming worthless. Though expect it to be higher than that.

End result being that its not particulary cheap given we need 50 mill+ to upgrade proper using the auction house. Seems we need to win the item lottery and get that awsome legendary drop that sells for loads :-(

I think our best move is to try and kit ourselves out the best we can to farm act 3 if possible as thats where all the decent items are.

As for myself, I will not be touching the RMAH. Given that I am now farming 150k+ on my Act 1 runs, which take around 45 mins per go. Not only that, I do have a chance of finding some decent gear doing that too.

Wow i didn't realise buying gold was that expensive in order to buy 20 mill that is like £50 bugger that.

I think that maybe a plan to farm Act 3 as we will get a lot of money but we will need to gear up a bit first i think. Maybe we can try a bit of farming Act 3 on lan night maybe we could farm it together? It might be better.

So i have done the first sin heart and i am on arete crater lvl 2 so far the phase beasts are ok i am doing better than i did on nightmare. I am about 1 1/2 blocks off lvl 59 so should hit lvl 59 tonight and get to Azbodan but he is neaver a problem then on to heaven.

I have about 400k but i will spend most of that when i hit lvl 60 so may not have much cash when i come round. But my Barb is much better equiped than when we tryed to do Act 3 together the other day so we get past the larder and onto the battefeilds :)

Yes much more expensive than I thought - not that I was planning on using it anyway.

This seems like a plan, we will probably do much better teamed up with some half-"decent" gear.

Have you decided whether you will be using your DH as your farming character yet? Cause I was thinking a Barb and DH will make a good team - think of how well we did before with the DH Spike trap and your Barb - but with us geared a bit better :-)

I haven't decided yet i plan on getting my DH up to act 2 and see how he is doing. Farming act 1 is very easy with my Barb and want to see how it compares with DH.

But you are right the Barb and DH do seem to make a good team we can always decide on lan night as it will probably take me till then to do act 1 on inferno :)

Just thought I'd link to the latest 1.05 patch notes. This patch is not live yet, it is being tested on the test server.

The 'Monster Power' thingy looks particulary useful!

Just had a look they are changing quite a bit but it looks like most of which is our favour. Yea the power thing looks interesting.

So last night i killed that enemy at the beginning of heaven but it wasn't easy got killed about 10 times it was very frustrating but i did do Ragnor or whatever he is called first time which was nice :) so i am on to the second tier of the gardens and then on to the spire.

I am 3 1/2 blocks away from lvl 60 which is nice and have nearly 500k to go spending with just have to make sure i get some good stuff coz i bought all the wrong stuff first time with my barb with didn't help.

What is the best stuff to look at for my DH as you have read about it more than me on forums? Person?
