I will speak with the Bread-Knife about timing for this - but I wanted to ask about what essentials we should bring with us this time :-) As we are still newbies, thought you could impart your wisdom in regards to what we should bring.

We picked up some chairs - so you can knock that one off the list. We are going to get sleeping bags this time too. As for the actual Geo-caching, will we be sharing your GPS? Cause I doubt our phones will last for a whole weekend without a charge, unless we go somewhere with power nearby or something.

Also, any ideas as to where to go? That one we did last time on the long route was cool, so somewhere like that would be a good one I rekon.

Cool cool - as mentioned the other day, think the best weekends will be either the week before your bday, the weekend of your bday or the week after your b/day (week before mine).

In terms of gear it is really up to you guys how far you go in preparing yourself, but generally a good quality tent is a good start (I might be upgrading again at some point so may be selling mine if ya intersted), along with some good sleeping bags with some sort of roll mats (or camp beds if your posh / fit in the tent). I would also invest in some good quality walking footwear - worth looking round, as you can get some decent ones in places like freeport without spending too much. Other bits are fairly optional - but a good torch is a good idea, if you guys go out without us on any occasion then things like cutlery / crockery.

Happy for you to share our GPS - seem a bit odd to take more than one!

In terms of location it largely depends what we are doing int he evening. I was originally thinking we would go somewhere, set up camp and do some geo's then perhaps others (if we have anyone to invite) can turn up in the evening for camping and drinking in the evening.

Logistically it is easier for it just to be us lot - as a bigger group would mean that we need to find a site that is happy for lots of people to have a gathering. We could go to the place we went last time - it is cheap and I know that they don't mind about groups. But on the otherhand it maybe nice to go somewhere different... We will just generally need to make some 'top line' decisions and go from there I think!!

In terms of routes, I can prob come up with something in most places I go - just means me buying an ordance survey map of the area before we go (I made the mistake of not getting a map one time and we found that half way round doing the Geo's that there was a big river in the way - oops!)

Spoke with Emma - and we don't mind timing-wise, as long as it is not my birthday weekend. So up to you.

Tent - yes we may very well be interested in that - how much you selling it for?

Torch - Check :-)
Boots - Check :-)

I am happy for people to turn up for a drink in the evening if you want. Probably best I leave location and route up to you as you seem to know all about this. Are we inviting other's to set up camp with us then?

On another note - when exactly is your stag do planned for then? And have you sorted out where we are going/what we are doing yet?

Ok cool - let me speak to Jen and confirm about which weekend.

For your note this is the tent, but then again you ahve seen it before. (I'll look into how much I want for it - but rest assured it will be much cheaper than this website appears to have it for!)

Still not sure about the drinking in the evening - again I suppose it depends where we end up as to if it is an actual option or not.

In terms of stag do - I'm not sure, Alex is organising it and he hasn't mentioned what ideas he has had yet. Perhaps we can get a forum page started up for it so that alex can organise on here - I'll ask him... I have purposely kept the week after my bday clear just in case that is when we do it - but it might be a lot earlier - I really have no idea!

Sounds like a plan. Send him over here so he can get an account to sort it all out. Same goes for anyone that wants to use the site.

As for the tent- yeah I remember it and thanks for the link. Just let me know when and if you wanna get rid of it and for how much as we may have that off you. I remember you saying you were gonna get one you can stand up in which would be cool.
