A fair point as its not actually finished. It is fairly cheap though and you get a lot more stuff to play about with the full version. I like it as you can just hop on it of an hour or two without getting too bogged down.

Well I will definitely keep an eye on it then if it isn't finished, as it shows great potential and is really fun. I saw it up on Steam for 18 squid.

If they add multiplayer and sort it out so it is actually playable on a widescreen monitor I will almost certainly buy it.

Found an interesting article here regarding Kerbal Space Program that states a multiplayer expansion may be on the cards. It also seems to state that if you buy the game within this month, all future expansions will be free:

...So given that this was a point of confusion, and that we believe that no matter what, a promise is a promise, we are including Expansions in what you can expect to get for free if you have already bought the game. Also, for those considering purchasing the game, we will maintain this promise for all purchases made until the end of this month (April, 2013).

And a note on multiplayer:

...So this is what we mean when we say Expansion Packs for KSP. We're not talking about small content bundles, we're talking about major game-changing sets of features, like Multiplayer, or Colonization. Things that add not just content, but new gameplay possibilities. Things that might not fit the initial concept very well, but we think are too cool to just cut off forever.

This changes things! Although they state that they are waaaaay off on doing an expansion yet, it is something that would make this a definite purchase for me!

I think this may be a purchase for me but i will play the demo first then make my mind up.

It all went quite for a while there i though we were all working.

Turns out Jim was googling KSP :-)

Who knows what Greg is doing perhaps best not knowing!

I thought I had best do a little bit of work today. I should have mentioned that you get the entire thing if you buy it now. I think I got it when it was about £7 so with the game in the state it is in now it was great value.

Check out this
video, this guy does commentary for his KSP builds. I think he is really funny but whether you agree with that point or not it does showcase some of superb mods you can slap on the game.

Ah that's that Robbaz again! I watched a few of his videos the other day when you suggested I did - think I watched the one where he is playing a surgery simulator and he breaks the guys ribcage open, rips out his lungs and replaces the heart and gets a rank of "A" for effectively killing his patient.

That mod looks quite cool. Just think what the modders could come up with for this game, given enough time.

I think I am sold Greg, I will buy it this month I think :-)

On a similar vein, have you tried the "Spacebuild" mod for Garry's Mod? This works in a similar way to KSP in that you have a massive solar system and have to build a craft to get you around and stuff. You have to equip your contraptions with life support systems and such. It is pretty cool and I know you would like it Greg!

I will check that one out a bit later as most of the pages are blocked at work. It does sound good and I did really enjoy Garys Mod.
Can you move games on steam or are you stuck once you have installed it on one machine?

Steam games are tied to your Steam account, not the machine they run on. So if you used my computer and logged in as you, you would have full access to all your games. Is nice!

I think I heard that you can 'gift' certain games to other accounts, but never tried it so do not know how that works (or why you would even want to do that).

Basically, once you have bought it on Steam, it's yours and can be accessed every time you log in on that account, regardless of what machine you are using.

That's easy enough, I think the only steam game I played was half-life 2 then I gave up so not entirely familiar with the nuances of it.

Good news is my reserve PC seems to have died on me as well, aster installing the video driver the screen is not turning on, this makes it difficult to undertake remedial action. So edging closer to the new machine…

O dear Gregory you are in a mess. You will have format C brrr.

Just go get a new one the MR2 can wait till next month. Plus a re-spray in the summer will net you far more wet knickers on the bonnet :-)

I could do without the wet knickers to be honest, especially when driving through Witham. It looks ends up looking like it has been attacked by a load of salivating snails.

Plus, even the Panda would licit such an act in Witham - I don't think they are particularly fussed with whomever's car bonnet they throw their undergarments ;-)

So you have broken another PC then Greg? O dear. May I suggest dear old "Safe Mode" so you can get into Windows and remove the offending driver.

I would Greg but the GPU isn't outputting a video signal, the monitor does not event receive the start signal to view the BIOS boot up. It has a DVI and HDMI output, both of which are brown bread.

I might just hit it with a stick when I get home. Say what you like about X-boxes, at least the bleeding things turn on when you want them to!

I think it is more of a case of you fiddling with things that you shouldn't Gregory ;-) I find it just a tad odd that it only started not to work after you had installed a new driver.

If the BIOS does not even see it then it is either a) monitor/cable issue b) connector on either the card or monitor c) Graphics card is kapoot

In each event, the solution is the same:

Buy that new computer you tricky little swine!

This defiantly isn't my doing, the driver was the one provided with the PC from new so one would assume it the correct one and the HDMI cable and monitor works with the X-box.

I am not going to lose any sleep over it but this is like the 5th thing that has broken this month, it's starting to get expensive.

This is the problem with having highly corrosive test-icals, when I sent mark all my stuff it just melts.

Stop pissing on electrical goods then Gregory! You may be a gorgeous sandy coloured Labrador, but does not mean you should mark everything that has a pulse and/or electrical current.
