Exactly Greg! Greg is a special case for sure. I dread to think what damage he will do with his new computer.

I think Greg is throwing a tantrum and not talking to us anymore because of some weird protest over him being a numpty :-)

Either that or he has his new computer and is in a mid-breakage-with-corrosive-nad-juice maneuver.

Nar I was going to put up an insulting picture but I just went home instead. Still awaiting the PC; it's going to be a long day……

Well, I guess that is because you don't want to impose. You want to go home, burrrrrrr!

So you are getting it today? Shiny! I will hopefully be on tonight so when you get sorted, get on Mumble and tell me your Steam username so we can talk.

I have to admit, seeing the machine you are getting I am rather jelly - it's one hell of a computer :-) :-)

Being that kind of person I am hopeful. It's not going to set the world on fire but it should do me for a few years.

I didn't get round to sorting out the steam thing yesterday as Jen was over; I will try and do it today.

I take it you went for Windows 7? What's gonna be your first game on it then Greg?

Yea I went Win 7, upgraded the graphics card to the 4gig one and slapped in some liquid cooling. Defiantly Supreme Commander – Forged Alliance; graphs on full, dual monitored (one for map and one for game play) and 12 A.I.
Actually Greg unless you know any different I think supreme commander is the only game with proper support for proper dual screening.

Shiny. I have never played Supreme Commander and have never been too interested in multi-monitor games. It's handy for working but more of a gimmick in games in my humble opinion.

I would agree generally but the nature of Sup Com (eg zooming from unit view to planet wide view) lends itself very nicely to this approach.

I only played with this setup briefly as the old heap could just about run the game let alone dual head it.

Fair enough. Probably simply the fact that I have never played a game yet that I would think would benefit from it.

Actually, come to think of it - KSP would work well. One screen for the main view and another for the orbital/map view. I wonder if that is something on the cards for the game.

Well I think that clears up the sort of person you are and the sort of person I am.

Actually, it only raises further questions regarding this mystifying subject.

Hello various Gregs! New toy is good thanks and surprisingly, still working.

Got the old Dual monitor running and it seems to be coping well with all the games I have chucked at it so far.

I got steam up and running but it seem I have two accounts, and typically my copy of half lift 2 was tied to the other one. Any way I got pissed off and just purchased another copy though steam.

Should be ready to G-mod it with you guys once I have reacquainted myself with the old keyboard and mouse control.

Yes you must break out of the old habits of those nasty things called "controllers". I am glad it has not blown up yet but I suppose there is still plenty of time...

Be good to see you on and yes - G-Mod is calling!

Have you sorted out Mumble yet? We will need that for G-moddage.

I think I replied to Gregs friend invite thing the other day. I will have a stab at mumble tonight. When do you want to give G-mod a go? Also can I get it from Steam?
