the version that i acquired from t'interweb has a quick swap .exe that seems to be the crack. I've swapped the original back and will try to source and install this discovery mod thingy, currently v4.86 seems to be the most popular one?

4.86 Exiles is indeed the one you need.

It should then update itself when run if it needs to.

It took about 564864514514.0 years for the Discovery mod to install so I just left it running over night. Unfortunately this means I didn’t actually see the game running, so more fun and games tonight.

Yea I liked it. Obviously we barely scratched the surface but I did enjoy flying around with you guys doing the trading missions.

How about yourself? Do you think it will become tedious for you again?

Yes, was good fun and I enjoyed it. You should definitely get on when you can and get some money together for a better ship though - that Rhino is very fragile.

I liked it, and played it some more over the weekend to get myself a better transport ship for trading in.

Did you two carry on after I left at all?

No we gave up at the same time as you as we were both really pissed and very shit at the game.

Did you just start a new character Jim?  Did you put our old characters back up?

Yes, started a new one with them as it was pointless flying around in the battleships with them (I did try that). I deleted my fighter character to make room for the new one (believe we were just pissing about with that one anyway).

It was quite annoying that we could not get information with the battle ship.I did like the trading runs but I think I would get a bit bored doing it single player.

As for trading solo, you will find it is the best way to make quick-bucks in the game. I spent a lot of time doing that.

It would not let either me or Dyson get in formation with the Battleship. You said yourself that you and Mark had had trouble with it in the past.Isn’t it a bit dull though just plodding from a-b on your own?

O right, yeah sorry, you said information... you meant in formation. Gotcha. Yes the Battleships are slags in that regard. Same goes for docking and trade lanes - they are tricky little swines.
