More fun than X3 in my books - because you can play with others too if you want.

Yes we were i will do the same if i get on i do like the old Freelancer would be good to start again.

Save the Battleships for when the other two have played for a bit.

I see were the confusion arose. It is a bit an odd glitch that one.

You mean *if* they do. By the sounds of it, Greg's not interested in trading - which will severely limit his purchasable stuff.

Trading can get a little boring Greg but you have to do it to get money for better offensive ships.

Vary your trade routes that helps and you get to see more of the map.

This is true, but as I said, X3 is no different. Infact, X3 is more tedious from what I have seen.

I already gave them a 200,000 credit gift to get them going. I think that's enough for the moment surely!?

It should be and that is very nice of you but Greg isn't happy unless he can throw real money at a game :-)

I was just saying that it might be boring single player, if there were two of us doing a run it would be much more interesting.

Personally I find the trading on X3 to be more interesting, the dynamic economy and the ability to do it remotely allows you to do other things. But this is obviously at the expense of massive complexity.

Don’t get me wrong I am not knocking Freelancer, the actual act of trading was good fun when we were doing it, but whereas with X3 I can trader and do 30.0 other things at the same time vs flying from a-b, I feel freelancer trading is best done with some company.

Fair enough Greg. I still think the lack of multiplayer is the biggest shortfall of X3 in my eyes. It is a shame. I still think I prefer Freelancer to it at the moment anyway. I gave it another shot and got pissed off at the changing prices then switched Freelancer on instead. Maybe we can work something out for you then Greg:

How about £1 for 10 million game credits? Given our Gallic Battleships are worth $558,582,700 game credits, then that's £55.80 for one of those :-)

Gimme your money Greg! :-b ;-)

I see, I see, we are going to the pay to win model now are we???

I might see if Dyson wants to have a go at some point so we can take things at our own learning pace and do a run or two. I am not sure what his thoughts on the game were though as the tart never comes on here to discuss things.

I personally thought that idea was a winner for you Greg :-)

Yes G-Man is a slag. Kick his Gout-Ass in geeeeeaaar Gregory. I am glad you enjoyed it though. Will be cool when all 4.0 of us are on.

I thought you would be happy to pay for in game items Greg?

Just been looking at what ship I am aiming for next. Not sure whether to get:

- The Mammoth (aka "Brick") for 10 mill. Had this one before and it's a solid ship for the money. Plus it looks like a brick, so that's a plus.
- The Firefly for 40 mil. Want this purely because I loved the Firefly series, and who doesn't want to fly around in one of those.
- Or save up some more for one of the bigger transports.

Ideas?

This bad-boy huh? It's $127,232,250

3,300 cargo space, 9 turrets. Looks cool. You will have to do some saving though Greg. ....or just throw £12.72 my way ;-)

Any runs that make 1.0 million a pop?

Here
Here

is a pic of the Prison Liner for you too Greg.

The one I posted today makes 3.5 million a pop in an Armored Transport (800 cargo space) - the ship I just bought, or just under 1 million a go in your Rhino.

I got the Mamouth last time so i would have to get the Firefly this time round.

Didn't you have a bit of trouble with trade lanes in the prison liner Greg?

I had the Luxury Liner, but yes, it wasn't the smallest of ships. As with all large ships in Freelancer, trade lanes and docking requires some finesse.
