According to Steam:

Maximus = 21 hrs
Greg = 30 hrs
Me = 16.7 hrs

...and Greg did give you a substantial head-start as well.

My tally might be a bit misleading; I got so twated that I passed out at the PC on Friday so several of those hours consisted of me mining an asteroid with a completely full cargo bay.

LOL, I remember that. I will have to dig up the photo as it was very funny. You just collapsed in your chair.

I recall you took great amusement from my variation of that situation. Sat looking at a lighthouse repeating that I didn’t want to impose followed by repeatedly foiled escape attempts.

:-) Good times. Ah yes, that was Bioshock. You just didn't want to impose. Half an hour you sat there staring at the screen, seemingly incapable of even touching the keyboard or mouse. It then involved you attempting to exit via the cupboard, then, realising your mistake you took it upon yourself to fill as many glasses with water as you possibly could and strategically place them at points around the flat.

It might just be me but does anyone else think that the Y and Z axis in the game are the wrong way round?

Yep. X = Width, Y = Height, Z = Depth, that's always what I have seen and been taught.

It is a bit confusing but they are correct.

X = West - / East +
Y = Up + / Down -
Z = North + / South -

Check this tutorial, it might make it clearer:

Actually, SeeJay has a point. If you think of it from a "sitting in the ship" perspective, it does make sense. If you think of it from the "top down map" perspective, like we have been, then it doesn't.

But you fail to factor in my lack of intellect and spatial awareness. If you could arrange some sort of tutorial involving biscuits then I might get it.
